The number is not embossed on the card and hence not printed on receipts so it makes it much harder for anyone other than the cardholder to know what the code is.
The format and position of the security code varies across card schemes. Some cards have a three-digit number printed at the end of the signature strip. Some issues refer to this number as the ‘security code’, others as the ‘personal security code’ and others as ‘card verification value’
Our secure-server software encrypts all your personal details including your card number. This process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet.

A promotional code entitles you to claim money off your entry. If you have received a promotional code from the newspaper or another source, enter your team or teams in the usual way. When you get to the payment page, input your promotional code in the box indicated.
The value of your promotional code will be deducted from the total amount we bill to your credit or debit card.
If, for whatever reason, you think you have been charged incorrectly, send us your details and the confirmation emails that you got detailing the payments to the Dream Team help desk. We will then investigate and refund any duplicated payments.
